Father's Day, 6/16/24
We spent Father's Day out enjoying the most beautiful Alaskan summer day! We first went to Reflections Lake, and then we went to Eagle River Nature Center, and then that evening we went to the littles' school and played at the playground. We definitely made the most of this midnight sun. We had such a fun day celebrating Scott and all he does for our little family. We love you so much!

We love summers in AK! On the first Saturday in June we decided to go to ERNC. It ended up being a great day for wildlife! On the drive there we saw a huge bull moose on the road (I have a cool video I shared to IG!) and then we also saw a moose near the pond while hiking. (We just did the easy Rodak Nature Loop.) And then while driving back we saw a mama brown bear and yearling cub just off the side of the road. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my telephoto lens, but we still got some good pics. Enjoy! 🫎🐻

The last big thing we did with Grandma and Grandpa B. while they were here was go to the Eagle River Nature Center. It was on Saturday so unfortunately I was at work, but they had a great time and actually went on a pretty big hike. (Farther than we normally go.) I loved their pics so much I had to put them on here. Love you Grandma and Grandpa! 💗

She arrived last Wednesday, and I picked her up from the airport with the girls. After making a quick stop at Costco (thanks for all your help Chrissy!) we stopped at the Eagle River Nature Center to break the up the drive on our way home. We hoped to see some fish from the viewing platforms here too, but we didn't see any this time. It was still a beautiful day though, and the fall colors were just amazing!

Just after getting back to our car and starting the drive home we saw a HUGE brown bear cross the road in front of us! It was so cool and so exciting! I got a really poor pic with my big camera, but in hindsight I should have just tried to get one with my phone. It's hard to think in the moment, haha. The pic with my big camera was all set up for a shot deep in the dark forest, so it was super over-exposed, but I was able to save it slightly. It was such a cool experience for us to see this brown bear in the wild, and we were glad to be safely in the car when we saw it, haha. Enjoy these fun pics!
